| Lou Brown President Lou is a founding member of AzOWRA and has served as Board Member, Secretary, and Treasurer. She is the president and owner of SouthWest Alternatives, Inc., founded in 1989 after learning about Eljen systems from materials obtained at a regional trade show. She has extensively participated in the ADEQ Onsite Wastewater Advisory Committee activities, and is dedicated to training of contractors to ensure proper product installation and satisfaction of warranty terms. Lou has maintained a key role in the development of AzOWRA and has been a board member since 2006.

| Dustin Lewis Vice-President - President Elect Dustin is a native Arizonan, born and raised in Kingman where he attended and graduated from Kingman High School. Dustin first became involved in the wastewater industry when he worked for Kingman Septic Pumping, owned by board member John Mitchell. He has worked in the construction industry for various companies. In 1998, Dustin became a licensed contractor and stared Lewis Equipment Services, LLC, a general construction company. His company does a variety of services - demolition work, underground utilities, storm water drains, general excavation, perc tests and septic systems, and concrete and asphalt work - both large and small. Dustin became a member of AzOWRA in 2011.

| Richard Bartholomew, P.E. Past President Richard is a founding member of AzOWRA, serving as a Board Member before election, and has served his community and profession in many capacities. He is a 1961 graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in Civil Engineering and completing graduate work in 1965. Richard worked for the ASHD, predecessor of ADEQ, from 1966 to 1972 as the director of Public Water Supply Division before starting Bartholomew Engineering in 1972 to the present, specializing in Sanitary/Civil Engineering, including over 50 onsite treatment systems. Richard holds professional engineering licenses in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Colorado. In addition to AzOWRA, he ia a member of other professional organizations, including: American Water Works Association (AWWA), Life Member; National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association (NOWRA); AZ Water Association; National Society of Professional Engineers; and the Arizona Society of Civil Engineers. Richard's community service contributions have included serving as Mayor and Councilman for the Town of Cave Creek from 1993 to 1997 and the Boy Scouts of America (1956 to 1993, Eagle Scout and Scoutmaster). |
| Brian Bishop Board Member Since 2000, Brian has been the owner of Aim Environmental Industries, a wastewater systems components wholesaler, and Bishop Construction, LLC, dedicated to assembling alternative technology systems and support services to system installers. He has extensive experience in land surveying and precast concrete product manufacturing, where he became familiar with onsite systems, wastewater treatment package plants, sewage lift stations and manholes. Brian has served on several ADEQ advisory committees, beginning in 1998. Brian is Past President of AzOWRA and has served on the board since 2007. |
| David Bartholomew Board Member Dave is a 1987 graduate of the University of Arizona, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He is President of Bartholomew Wastewater Services, Inc., founded in 2008 and specializing in all aspects of operation, maintenance, and inspection of wastewater treatment systems, wastewater collection systems, lift stations and pressure sewers. He has 19 years of prior experience in the water and wastewater industry. Dave has been NAWT certified since 2006 in Soils Evaluation, Systems Design and Systems Inspection. He is OSHA HazWOPER certified, and holds certifications as an Arizona Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator and Collections Systems Operator. DAve joined the AzOWRA Board in 2009. |
| Suzanne Ehrlich, R.S. Board Member Suzanne grew up in Prescott, Arizona, graduated from the University of Michigan and returned to Prescott to operate a small water utility. She began working for Yavapai County Development Services - Environmental Unit in 1996. In 1998, she became an Arizona Registered Sanitarian and inspector specializing in soil evaluation and conventional onsite wastewater system construction. Suzanne was a member of the Arizona Sanitarian's Council from 2003 to 2008, and is a member of the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA), a member of the Arizona County Directors of Environmental Health Services Association (ACDEHSA) Onsite System Committee, and an AzOWRA member since 2007 and served as Conference Chairman for 2009 and 2011. Suzanne became a member of the Board in 2007. |
| Kathryn L "Kitt" Farrell-Poe, PhD Board Member Dr. Farrell-Poe is an Extension Water Quality Specialist and Professor in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department at the University of Arizona. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Master's Degree in Agricultural Engineering from Purdue University, and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Environmental Engineering, also from Purdue University. She has been with the University of Arizona since 1998 and her current responsibilities include teaching and extension outreach. Her extension program focuses primarily on onsite wastewater treatment, safe drinking water, and nonpoint source pollution issues. She teaches classes for the Ag & Biosystems Engineering Department, including an online course for engineers on onsite wastewater treatment. Dr. Farrell-Poe aslo serves as the State Extension Water Quality Coordinator for USDA, a regional water quality program coordinator for a USDA-NIFA grant, and the Director of the U of A's Onsite Wastewater Education Program. She joined the AzOWRA Board in 2010. |
| Jeremy Johnson Board Member Jeremy is the owner of Johnson Excavation LLC, located in Tucson. He holds a NAWT Inspector Certificate and is an Arizona licenses contractor. Jeremy joined the AzOWRA Board in 2010 and is the website manager. |
| Dawn Long Board Member Dawn has co-owned American Septic Service with her husband, Don Long, since 2001. They operate a "hands-on" maintenance company dedictated to educating homeowners in the proper use and maintenance of their onsite system. Their mission is to help their customers to maintain systems well beyond the typical 20 year operational life. Dawn and Don support the University of Arizona's Onsite Wastewater Education Program through invited presentations for inspection classes throughout the year, sharing pictures and experiences which improve and keep relevant the UA training program. Dawn joined the AzOWRA Board in 2010. |
| Kathryn "Kathy" Mills, P.E. Secretary Kathy is the owner of Mills Engineering, LLC, a firm founded in 2004. She received a Bachelor's degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana in 1989 and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona in 1991. Her experience includes 20 years in the water and wastewater fields in both the public and private sectors. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Arizona and has designed hundreds of onsite wastewater systems throughout the state. She is serving her third year as Secretary of AzOWRA. She is also a member of the AZ Water Association and chaired the technical program task force for the AZ Water 2010 conference. She became an AzOWRA Board member in 2009. |
| John Mitchell Board Member John is the owner of Kingman Septic Pumping, founded in 1989, serving commercial and residential customers across northwestern Arizona. Company operations include pumping and construction services under a C-41 R Arizona Contractor License. John is active in community services, including outreach activities with the local real estate community. He is a member of the Kingman Board of Realtors and the National Assocation of Wastewater Transporters, and has served on the ADEQ Onsite Wastewater Advisory Committee. John has served on the AzOWRA Board since 2009. |
| Justin Ramsey, P.E. Board Member Justin has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering and a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering. Justin has been working in decentralized wastewater since 1991. He has designed hundreds of decentralized wastewater systems ranging from 300 gpd passive systems to 45,000 gpd advanced treatment systems. He has also participated in the development of Northern Arizona's Onsite Demonstration Project including the development of professional curriculums throughout Arizona. He assisted in the development of a national curriculum with the Consortium of Institutes for Decentralized Wastewater Treatment. Justin became an AzOWRA Board member in 2009. |
| Richard Sinclair Treasurer Richard is a charter member of AzOWRA, serving as a board member and the first President. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, with a degree in Industrial Engineering. His career is centerd on the fluid process industry, primarily industrial wastewater treatment. Since 2001, he has increasingly focused on biological treatment systems from residential thru 2 MGD design flow. Richard has been a member of AWWA, WEF, and AWPCA (now AZ Water). As the first President, he promoted the vision for AzOWRA's educational and leadership roles: to provide training for Association membership, to seek partnerships for operational verification of onsite/decentralized wastewater technologies, and to build consensus for legislative and regulatory efforts to benefit the overall onsite industry. Richard has served on the AzOWRA Board since 2006. |
| Jake Garrett Board Member Jake was born and raised in Wyoming. He attended the University of Wyoming where he received a degree in Engineering. He moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1983 and had a wide range of employment from a financial consultant, to vauum salesman, to magazine tele-marketer, to bartender, and manager. Jake became an EIT in 1993 and a professional engineer in 2004. During this time he started working in the wastewater industry conducting perc tests and designing wastewater treatment systems, both conventional and alternative systems. Jake is the current Environmental Health Director for Gila County and President of Arizona County Directors of Environmental Health Services Association (ACDEHSA). Jake is a charter member of AzOWRA and has been a member since 2006. |
