ADEQ stands for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. ADEQ adminsters the state's environmental laws and delegated federal programs to prevent air, water and land pollution and ensure cleanup.

ADEQ delegates the state onsite wastewater program to Arizona's counties. The governing document is A.A.C. Title 18 Chapter 19 of the State Adminstrative Code.
